Source: The Big C; the Courage to Live
Lori Pettaway age 46 from Hampton, VA is a mother of three, a Hampton High School alumini and a die-heart Crabber fan. Unfortunately, Lori was diagnosed with ovarian cancer a few years ago. Lori never gave up her will to live and enjoy life and her friends and family. Lori did everything she could to continue to work to take care of herself and her family until the pain became unbareable. Due to Lori not being able to work she could not afford private health insurance. Medication and treatment became overwhelming and expensive for herself and her family throughout her fight for survival.
The American Cancer Society states that Ovarian cancer accounts for about 3% of cancers among women, but it causes more deaths than any other cancer of the female reproductive system. Lori has shared her courageous fight over the years to bring awareness to women about ovarian cancer. A gofundme campaign has been created to to assist Lori with medications, care and final expenses. Lori also want you continue to share awareness of ovarian cancer and how it can affect the every day lives of women who have been diagnosed and the impact it has on their families. Please Donate today and share awareness regarding ovarian cancer. It could save a life. http://m.gofund.me/bu7yd4nw
